USPS mobile app. Finding a post office near you.

Imagine you are in a new city trying to find out nearest post office. USPS has an app just for that to make  your life easy…or something like that. You are in a new place just to go to a post office. Would you;

a). Provide your full address, city and state or zip code

b). Just ask it show post offices based on your current location?

The current USPS app requires you to provide a full address, or city/state or zip code. In the new city your knowledge is limited to city and state. Providing a partial address without inputting State doesn’t fetch any results. You must include State also. That’s too much to ask the user. In the process of providing data, many input (textual) errors may occur. Correcting them to the USPS way of interpreting ( Drive and Dr. may not be same for USPS) is too much time consuming for a simple task. In contrast if you ask Google maps to show post offices near you, your job is done in ONE step. Google uses your location information to make your life easy. I would like to see USPS mobile do the same thing instead of asking the user to input mandatory information. Remember, we are dumb users with little working memory.
